No matter where I travel I find myself in a cemetery. I find headstones fascinating, some tell stories, some send messages. Some are grand, some are simple.

This simple handmade metal marker was found in Somerset TX. in an old cemetery. The one in the background was also handmade as I recall. During my walk through here I managed to get into poision ivy or poision oak. Never saw either. I was watching for snakes.

This one was also in the Somerset church cemetery. I wish I knew why the dog and cat are on the marker.

3 children2 children - not sure where or when I found this one. and Jessica may have been a child as well.
Day of the Dead or All Saints Day in San Antonio finds families at gravesites decorating, visiting, remembering their loved ones. Holiday's also find graves decorated due to fair weather. One family plot in San Antonio Mission South goes all out.
 

That includes the tree too.
